The following are people that we know of who have won or placed in Fleadh Cheoil competitions around Ireland playing Martin Doyle Flutes in more recent years.
2012 and 2013
Barry Connaty won both the Flute Under 12 and Flute Slow Airs Under 12 categories of the Ulster Fleadh at Dungiven in July playing a Martin Doyle flute.
Kathlyn Sheehy won the 2012 All-Ireland Under 12 Flute finals in Cavan and placed second in the 2013 All-Ireland Under 12 Flute finals at the Derry Fleadh Cheoil playing a keyless Martin Doyle D flute.
Seamus Tierney won the Flute 15-18 Dance Tunes category and came third in the Flute Slow Airs 15-18 category at the2013 All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil finals in Derry playing a keyed Martin Doyle flute.
Ellen O'Brien of County Cavan won the Ulster Flute Under 12 Dance Tunes and Slow Air categories playing a Martin Doyle flute.
2014 and 2015
Ellen O'Brien of County Cavan won 3rd in the Under 15 Slow Airs category at the 2014 and 2015 Ulster Fleadh playing a Martin Doyle flute.
2018
Eve Marcella won first place in the under 12 flute reel and jig, the under 12s slow air on the flute, and the same two competitions on her whistle. Also her group cheoil won, so a cup and 5 gold medals her first time in the Waterford fleadh was a great result. Also she won a scholarship yesterday in her Comhaltas branch for flute and whistle.
Conan Whitley won first place in the Under 18 Slow Airs flute category at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann (All Ireland Festival of Music) in Drogheda, County Louth, in August.
